With over three decades in practice caring for patients throughout the greater Houston area, Ronald Bruscia, DPM, is a trusted expert for foot and ankle care. He welcomes patients to Katy Foot Doctor, a state-of-the-art podiatric clinic located in Katy, Texas. Dr. Bruscia earned his Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Buffalo. He went on to complete his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine in Cleveland, ranking in the top 20% of his graduating class. After graduation, Dr. Bruscia completed an intensive foot and ankle surgical training through the Harris County Podiatric Residency Program in Houston. During his residency, Dr. Bruscia cared for patients at Houston-area facilities, including Westbury Hospital, Citizens Medical Center, and the former Alief General Hospital. Dr. Bruscia is currently board certified in primary care and foot and ankle surgery through the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry, in addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine. He’s also one of the few specially trained Fellows of the American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine located in Texas. Dr. Bruscia has affiliations with the Memorial Hermann Surgery Center Kingsland, the Memorial Hermann Rehab Hospital-Katy, and the Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital. Outside of the clinic, Dr. Bruscia serves as the owner and director of the International Wellness Consultants, where he focuses on health care issues, disease prevention, and wellness trends targeting the foot, ankle, and lower leg. He lectures regularly at medical conferences in Southern Texas, as well as at national events. Dr. Bruscia is also heavily involved in the community and has served as the YMCA race director since the early 2000s. Over the years, Dr. Bruscia has completed 18 marathons and triathlons. Because he’s suffered from extensive sports injuries and pain-causing conditions, he can empathize with patients going through the same thing. Dr. Bruscia believes a patient’s time is valuable and ensures they don’t have to wait long — usually less than 10 minutes — to receive the care they need.
