Shruja Patel, MD, is the caring board-certified family practice physician at Complete Care Physicians in Katy, Texas.  Dr. Patel is a native of Katy, Texas. She attended James E. Taylor High School before studying mechanical engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. She then traveled across the globe to earn her M.D. with high honors from the Medical University of Lublin before returning home for residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. Dr. Patel has a well-rounded experience as a board-certified family physician and emergency physician at multiple facilities in Houston and surrounding areas. Most notably, she has worked as the sole emergency physician on-staff at the Women’s Hospital of Texas in Houston and Kingwood Medical Center, where she honed her skills in managing minor traumas, OB-GYN emergencies, and acutely and critically ill patients.  In her spare time, Dr. Patel enjoys hanging out with her family, traveling, hiking, learning about astronomy and interior design, dance, cooking, reading, and playing sports.
